John A. Miller, NCIP

John is a Nationally Certified Intervention Professional (NCIP) and an active member of the recovery community for over 20 years. As such, John has seen countless times the wreckage addiction can cause (in all of its forms), how powerful the family intervention process is, and how tremendously rewarding recovery can be.

John is profoundly grateful for his recovery and tries to give back by helping families find the path to recovery.

Scott Gray, NCACIP

Scott is a Nationally Certified Advanced Clinical Intervention Professional (NCACIP), and Senior Interventionist for Synergistic Intervention Specialists and Training. Scott has provided over 200 interventions since 2018 and is currently working towards his Associate’s Degree in Psychology. Prior to becoming an interventionist, Scott acted as the Interim Program Manager for the Federal Probations Program with Mental Health Systems and was also dedicated to helping teens as the Program Manager and Senior SUD counselor for the North Central Teen Recovery Center with the McAlister Institute.

Scott is committed to helping the family change just as much as the individual who struggles.

Patrick Trujillo

Patrick serves as the business manager for Synergistic and is one of the three founders. He has a BS in business and also works as a full-time marketing coordinator in the nonprofit industry. Prior to earning his bachelor’s degree, Patrick served in the United States Marine Corps for over nine years. Patrick has seen firsthand the destruction substance abuse can cause and importance of a family coming together to help a loved one try and recover. 

Dr. Jennifer Miller, PSYD
Consultant

Dr. Jennifer Miller is a Clinical and Consulting Psychologist. She is trained and experienced in providing trauma-sensitive and trauma-informed treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse disorders/codependency, and depressive and anxiety disorders. She has extensive experience treating service members and their families. Dr. Miller’s professional and personal life has been impacted by the disease of addiction. Professionally, her experience includes providing assessment, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and support to those suffering from the disease of addiction, as well as, their friends and families. Dr. Miller has been active in the recovery community for over 20 years. Dr. Miller also has advanced mindfulness training and is certified to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction—trained and employed by UC San Diego’s Center for Mindfulness, she has taught over 25, 8-week MBSR courses. Dr. Miller knows from experience that recovery is not a destination, it is an adventure we take together.
